Here i come Singapore!

December 28th, 2005 11:21 pm

Yipee! Tomorrow going back to Singapore again! I’m really lucky to be able to swap for 2 sin flt this month. I guess must be festive season, people are willing to give up Sin flt. Or Santa really thinks I’m a good girl! Hee… Thanks Santa! And guess what… I’ve got days off for CNY! Double happiness… All I pray now is to get rid of a turnaround on the 31st then I’ll have a stretch of days off. And next month is my top bid so hopefully from the 1st till 3rd I’m able to get days off which can continue my leave from 4th Feb till 9th. And it’ll be superb! Hmm… dreaming dreaming thinking thinking….. Oh, another good news is that I’m able to attend my first day of school… yippee! I’m having a sin flt on the 12th with Moira and Irene has the exact sin flt but it’s on the 13th. So I’m swapping it with Irene and I’m sure both Moira and Irene will be very happy cuz they’re best buds. Isn’t it great! Kill two birds with one stone! Haha… But I think my luck will stop here… Got a feeling next year wouldn’t be this good. Heard from the radio today that the Chinese believe 2006 is a bad year for the dog. And those China companies are sacking people who are in the year of dog just in case they bring bad luck. How cruel! Anyway, I’ll just enjoy now and weep when it’s comes.

Ministry of Sound was in Dubai last night, and I went but also to celebrate Ferris pre-bday celebration. Tonight they’re partying again but I can’t go… have to wake up early tomorrow for Singapore! Oh… I wana go S’pore MOS! I’ve missed the opening on my last Sin flt and this time I’ve to make it. Anyone keen? Hmm.. but it’s a weekend sure to have lots of people.

Anyway, Nairobi Photos are up! Had a terrific Christmas this year! Able to meet Barry and Martin is my greatest joy…So nice of them to travel 2000km in a day to meet me. Well my photos will tell all… got to faster pack my luggage and get some rest before flt…. Adieus!

2005 Christmas

December 28th, 2005 9:35 pm

Well, i’m going to write what i’ve been doing all these while for Christmas in Dubai. Besides going back to Singapore…hee… Firstly, i’ve brought myself a Christmas present in Lamcy….. It’s actually a musical doggy coin bank. Named ‘Moonlight’ which is given by Jane. Playing the tune ‘moonlight’ so that’s how she got her name. Introducing ‘Moonlight’…

Isn’t she cute…you’ve to turn the tail for the music…she’s like me! Black! Haha

Next introducing 2005 Xmas tree….

It’s the hard work from Daphne, Joanne & me…hee… Aren’t the ribbons beautiful? done by Daphne…. :biggrin_wp:

Lamcy Mall! That’s where I got most of my Christmas present… We too have a Taka Xmas tree here…

Went with Claire, Jane, Ryen, Ferris, John, Jonathan, Janice and flatmate… First time having such a big group doing shopping… Thanks for the ride Ferris! Wohoo… I finally get a chance to sit in a convertible jeep! Cool!

Back in Dubai

December 27th, 2005 3:06 am

Tonight is too lazy to write bout my Christmas trip to Nairobi… is so tired… Just came back this morning… caught a nap, out for late lunch and a night show… went for the movie ‘The Fog’ with Mike and Tanya. I haven got any clue what this movie was all about. All I heard from them it’s supposed to be a good one. Not till when we’re in the theatre then I realize its horror. OMG! I’ve promised myself never to watch horror or any monster movies ever again after watching ‘The Ring’. But again and again I failed. And now I am getting my lesson.. I’ve to make myself really really tired if not I don’t think I’m able to go to bed tonight. I’m so useless. Knew those ‘thing’ is coming out but still scare the shit of myself. Haiz…. My heart and mind just can’t take all these…. I’ll start to freak myself out especially when I’m alone in hotels. Gosh! People always asked me ‘Why am I so afraid?’, ‘Afraid of what?’ hmm… I myself don’t really know but I think it’s the image of those monsters will start to reappear and my imagination will start to creep in.. or maybe because since young I always think that there’s monster under the bed. When the lights are out the darkest place is the gap between my sister’s bed and mine. I’m sleeping the one below her so I can see the gap. And every time I’ve to pull my sister’s bed sheet down to cover the gap and always got scolding from her. Sobz… And I remember the scariest place in my house is under the stairs. It’s actually our store room. A cold and dark one. When we’re kids, my sister and I used to dare each other to walk in the furthest and because there’s a U-turn so no light are able to shine in from the outside. And I was locked in a couple of times. I just hate the stairs and when I’m alone at home which is very frequent when I’m a kid. The balcony seems to be the safest place to be. I actually feel warm when the moon light shines on me. And I love to count the number of lights still on. So that I know there’re people who is awake like me. Haha… and the funniest thing is that sometimes I’ll wait till I heard my dad’s car engine and quickly rush upstairs to pretend that I’m asleep. I guess I’m good at listening. I’ve the ability of differentiate who is home as well. Just by listening to the way they turn their keys and open the door. Even now my mum and I will make bets like it’s my dad or sis. Hee… needless to say who’s the winner. Gee…finally feeling tired…anyway from now on, whoever wants me to watch a horror movie must buy me sleeping pills as well k… kekeke….

Rome

December 23rd, 2005 9:15 pm

Today’s Karachi was a killer. Flight was delayed for 2hrs on ground which i don’t get paid for and still have to serve and answer their ‘ping pong’. Haiz… All because of the fog in Dubai that cause all my misery now. I’m now having a terrible back ache. I think it’s because of the standing n bending and closing of the overweight hat racks. I wana go back Singapore to look for a good ‘sin se’. Any good recommendations? Santa Santa…. Can you sleigh me back home this Christmas?

Photos of Rome are up! The color of the photos wasn’t really nice. It looks so grey and gloomy. In fact it is. Was so cold till my eyes couldn’t open. But everywhere was so nice that you have to see it. Somehow the city of Rome couldn’t escape the hands of the ‘artistic’. Graffiti was all over the streets. Kinda sad…. Anyway, I wanted to visit so many places and 21 hrs isn’t enough. And we went out in a big group so time was very hard to manage. Anyway I’m pretty optimistic that I’m able to get another Rome flt. But this time, I’m going out alone. Haha… So able to conquer more of Rome… Unsociable des! Hmph! Anyway, my crew was hoping to see some handsome Italiano guy and guess what…. None! Haha… I think we‘re at the wrong place. The places we walked are mostly filled with tourist. As you can see from the photos, I had very nice crew this time round. They’re just so lovable and nice. Hope to have this kinda crew in all flt but I doubt so….. hee

Festive Season in the Air

December 22nd, 2005 8:44 pm

Christmas Christmas is coming….. I’m so into the Christmas mood…. Shopping for gifts… writing cards… Tree decorations… Arranging to meet up with Barry and Martin in Nairobi for Xmas. I’ve been so busy after my Singapore flt and till now still have not replenished my sleep yet. Yup, Rome was fantastic. It’s just like an open museum. I wana go there again! The layover time is so short. I can’t do much, only went to the Vatican City to see the St. Peter’s Cathedral. My photos will be up soon. Crossing my fingers now… hee…. Will be having a turnaround to Karachi tomorrow morning. And the following will be to Nairobi which I’ve been looking forward to. Barry and Martin are currently backpacking in Africa and they will be meeting me in Nairobi for Christmas. Yippee! I can spend Christmas with my loves one now!

December 12th, 2005 12:32 am

I’ve finally got back to Dubai! My first long haul flt (15hrs), first Airbus 340-500 flt (Newest aircraft in EK), first Aussie flt (Thou there’s plenty of Aussie flts but I’ve only got one after 4mths). This trip really drained all my energy and caught the worst nasty flu virus. Carrying the virus all the way from Sydney to Christchurch back to Sydney and now it’s still with me in Dubai. *sobz* I don’t want it! I’ve enough of sneezing, blowing, coughing…. And next trip is SINGAPORE! I wanna go home….

My Manila Photos are up!

I’m so relieve now after my Chennai flt. No more turnarounds for the rest of the month! Yipee… Hmm… after doing all these turnarounds it’s actually not that dreadful after all… Kinda like the feeling able to sleep in my own cozy bed after a shagged day. Haha… But still it’s NO NO NO turnarounds for me. I want the allowances and to be able to step into a foreign soil.
Oh yes, talking about my Chennai flt. I freak out when I saw who the purser is. This guy has a really bad name in EK. People were saying he tame down a lot. But still….u know… And actually we’d a birthday celebration for Ryen & John that night. The temptation of calling in sick is so great. Oh my… anyway, I went for the flt cuz was thinking it’s sooner or later I’ll have to fly with him someday. And god bless me… for being such a good girl not calling in sick. Haha…. Instead he called in sick and the passenger load is unbelievable light. Double yippee!
Here ‘s some photos of our birthday boy and their night….

Manila

December 1st, 2005 6:30 pm

I must say this Manila flt was well done. I didn’t feel all that lousy after wasn’t able to get that 3day Sin. In fact, I was enjoying so much that I’ve spent all my allowances. Luckily forgot to bring my credit card along. Phew! Shopping is good and there’s a variety of food. A little similar to Bangkok. The day tour to Taal Volcano was simply fantastic. Living in this dry sandy part of the earth just makes me crave for more nature. The sight, scent, sound, sense of the lush greenery and the sparkling lake took all my tiredness and unpleasant feeling away. I’ve totally forgot who I am and what I doing there. I didn’t wana think about it as well just enjoying the peace of mind that I’ve steal off. Thou it’s only a short while. =) And this has once again reassure me of why am I here.
I did this flt with 2 of my batch girls, Victoria from UK and Merrin from Australia. There’s one from Germany in Business class and the rest are all from Philippines. This is actually one of the more popular flts especially with 2days layover. Victoria and Merrin are into shopping and pampering themselves so I didn’t went out with them. Hee…Shopping? Nope, not on my first Manila. Instead I went for the tour with Sandra. The hotel agency actually charged us too much for a ‘sit-in’ coach tour. They are so un-professional. There’s no itinerary for us, no money to change, told us the wrong pick up time and the guide cum driver just drive. He didn’t even tell us where we are or going next or at least tell us something more about Manila. Until I ask him if our trip includes hiking up to the volcano. He says we must pay extra and all the ‘ugly’ side starts. I feel that the people there are just aiming at our pockets. They’re marking the prices way too high. Luckily I’ve done some research before going and found this yacht club where they can bring us over to the crater. And their price is reasonable. Anyway, Taal Volcano is surrounded by a lake within a volcano within a lake. Woo… sounds confusing isn’t it. Well, you have to take a boat to the center of the volcano and hike up to the top. From there, you’ll see another lake inside the crater. hee… Anyway, our guide insists that we should go to another boat rental which is 2times the price and we’ve to pay transport charges to him. This is unreasonable; we’ve to pay the transport charges anyway so why can’t he drive us to the yacht club. He is very unhappy when I showed him the print out from the club. And he called up to the agency and told them about it. Oh, all this while this is an under table dealing. Hehe… So the agency of course quotes us an even higher price. They should have told us there’s two kind of tour to Taal. The guide is of course happy now cuz we’ve to stick to his boat rental which is cheaper than the agency. But Sandra is so quick to spot the yacht club along the way and she argued with the guide saying the club is nearer than his recommended one. Before that he was saying the yacht club is out of the way and it’s further. Haha… well, this is only the beginning. There are so many more little little ‘ugly’ things along the way but I’m so lucky to be able to travel with Sandra. I wouldn’t know what to do if I’m alone. Gosh! I’m so fortunate to have people with me as I learn along the way. Every trip is definitely an eye opener for me. Anyway, we didn’t manage to hike up cuz of time restraint. Instead, we took the horse ride which is faster and easier. I feel so sorry for Alexandria (horsey). He has to carry the big fat me up… sobz I have to go on diet!!!!
